Houston Unitarian Universalist Theological Institute

IMG_1177-225x300.jpgThe Houston Unitarian Universalist Theological Institute is not a place, but an opportunity! It arose out of the vision of a small group of Houston UU ministers and lay leaders with the support of our Southwestern UU Conference and the Unitarian Universalist Associations (UUA) Office of Stewardship & Development.

With a generous grant from UUA Association Sunday Campaign, the What Moves Us curriculum is the Institutes first offering. The Institutes mission is to deepen the theological understanding of Unitarian Universalism, thus creating a growing pool of UU elders and articulating Unitarian Universalisms good news for a new century.

The first project of the Institute is to field test the new Unitarian Universalist Associations Tapestry of Faith curriculum, What Moves Us: Unitarian Universalist Theology. This curriculum was authored by Unitarian Universalist minister and theologian, Thandeka, who will personally train facilitators and will deliver a portion of the curriculum to participants.
